Aura is the post-capture processing and analysis software for Emesent scanner data. Its processing is powered by Emesent's SLAM algorithm, which turns raw scan data into dense, accurate 3D point clouds that you can then validate, align, refine, visualise, and export.
Aura supports a complete workflow from raw data import through to final output, with tools to visualise, measure, georeference, refine, and combine point clouds. It is designed to maintain data integrity and produce reliable, export-ready outputs suitable for further analysis, modelling, or reporting.
This section covers everything you need to install Aura, process and refine scan data, and export results:
Getting started walks through system requirements and accessing Aura for the first time.
Licensing & User Management covers requesting access, logging in, and checking licenses in and out.
Emesent Aura User Interface introduces the tabs, panels, and viewport you use to work with point clouds.
Working with point clouds is the core workflow: processing scan data, merging, colorization, georeferencing with GCPs, RTK and PPK, 360 panoramic images, reprojection, convergence monitoring, and cleaning and filtering point clouds.
Third-party software workflows shows how to take Aura outputs into tools such as Deswik and Trimble Business Center.
Troubleshooting helps resolve common processing and data issues.
