Setup Survey Pole

This article explains how to mount the GX1 on a survey pole. The Quick Mount attaches to the threaded end of the survey pole, and the GX1 attaches to the Quick Mount.

Prerequisites

  • The GX1

  • The GX1 Quick Mount

  • A survey pole with a 5/8" threaded end

Procedure

Step 1: Extend the survey pole

  1. Extend the survey pole to the required height and lock it securely. See How to hold Survey Pole.

Ensure all the lock sections on the pole are tight and locked so the pole cannot collapse.

Step 2: Attach the Quick Mount to the survey pole

  1. Screw the Quick Mount onto the threaded end of the survey pole until fully seated and secure.

Step 3: Attach the GX1 to the Quick Mount

Maintain a firm grip on the survey pole until the connection is confirmed.

Outcome

The GX1 is securely attached to the survey pole using the Quick Mount and ready for survey pole operation.
