Settings for GoPro Hero 9/10/11

Prev Next

This article covers the required GoPro settings for Hero 9, Hero 10, and Hero 11 models used with Hovermap for colorization.

Before applying these settings, complete the steps in the Colorization Initial Setup Guide, which covers pairing the camera, updating firmware, and other prerequisites.

Incorrect settings will result in unprocessable data and the scan will need to be recaptured.

We recommend configuring the settings below by creating a Custom Profile on the GoPro.

Custom Profiles can only be created on the GoPro camera itself. They cannot be added via the GoPro Quik app.

Procedure

Step 1: Create a Custom Profile

On GoPro

  1. From the main capture screen, tap the Mode icon (bottom center).

  2. Scroll down and select the + (Add Preset) icon to create a new profile.

  3. Select Video as the mode.

  4. Apply the settings from the tables below to configure this profile.

  5. Press the tick icon in the top right corner to save the settings.

  6. Select Save as Custom Profile to store the profile for future use.

Not all required settings are applied during Custom Profile creation. After saving the profile, follow the next steps to configure the remaining settings manually.

Not all options listed in the tables below are available on every GoPro Hero 9/10/11 model. If a setting is not present on your camera, simply skip it and continue with the next available option.
