Report a crash, incident or near-miss

It is important to us that you report any incidents involving your Hovermap. This allows us to understand what happened, to make improvements that prevent it from happening again, and to assess warranty claims. In the case of an incident involving a Hovermap during flight, please provide flight data from the following sources:

Please use the upload link provided by Technical Support Services to share these files.

Access the Hovermap scan data

Option 1

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into either of the USB ports on the Hovermap.

  2. The scan data will start copying to the USB automatically. While copying, the status LED will change to a wiping blue bar.
  3. When the data has been copied, the status LED will return to a slow pulsing dark blue.

  4. For each flight in question, upload the entire scan folder from the USB flash drive to the link provided by Technical Support Services.

Option 2

Scan data can also be retrieved if the Hovermap is still powered on, even if it is inaccessible or the USB ports are damaged. To download remotely:

  1. From your internet browser, navigate to the Web UI. The address is hover.map.

  2. Go to the Scans tab to find the most recent scans.

  3. For each scan listed, click the Download button to download the scan data files.
  4. Download the scan at the top of the list to make sure that you get the most recent scan first.
