The Network configuration panel manages Hovermap’s network interfaces. It provides options to configure Wi-Fi access point settings (if supported) and to define wired network parameters.

Wi-Fi Settings
Enable Hovermap Wi-Fi
Toggle to enable or disable the onboard Wi-Fi access point.
Wi-Fi is enabled by default.
New Wi-Fi Password / Confirm Wi-Fi Password
Enter a new WPA-PSK-compliant password in both fields to change the default hovermap password.
Press Update Wi-Fi Password to apply.
If Wi-Fi is disabled, it must be re-enabled using a wired connection. Ensure an Ethernet adapter is available before disabling.
Wired Connection Settings
The Wired connection settings section allows manual configuration of IPv4 networking.
Field | Description |

Address | Enter the IPv4 address assigned to Hovermap. |
Netmask | Define the subnet mask for the wired interface. |
DNS | (Optional) Enter the DNS server IP address. |
Gateway | (Optional) Enter the default network gateway. |
DHCP | Toggle to allow Hovermap to automatically obtain an IP address. |
Apply | Saves and applies the entered wired connection settings. |
Current Wired Connection
The Current wired connection section displays the live status of Hovermap’s wired network interface.
Field | Description |
|---|---|
Address | Shows the active IPv4 address (example: 192.168.2.115). |
Netmask | Shows the current subnet mask (example: 255.255.255.0). |
Cable Connected? | Indicates whether a physical connection is detected. A green tick confirms connection; a red cross indicates no cable detected. |
