This article explains how to export raw GNSS data from a Leica GS18 receiver and convert it to RINEX format for use in a PPK Georeferencing workflow.
Prerequisites
Leica GS18 receiver with RINEX data recorded to the SD card
SD card reader
Windows laptop or PC
teqc conversion tool (download from GAGE Software)
Procedure
Step 1: Export data from the receiver
Power off the Leica GS18 receiver.
Remove the SD card from the receiver and insert it into a laptop.
Open the DBX or Data folder on the SD card.
Locate the .m00 file for the session. Check the date modified to confirm it is from the correct recording session.
Copy the .m00 file to the laptop.
Step 2: Convert to RINEX
Download and unzip the teqc tool.
Copy the .m00 file into the teqc folder.
Open a Windows Command Prompt and navigate to the teqc folder.
Run the teqc conversion command for the .m00 file.
Confirm the output includes a .obs file and a .nav file in the same folder.
The .obs file is the rover observation data. The .nav file is the navigation data. Both are required in Emlid Studio.
Outcome
After completing these steps, the .obs and .nav files are ready for post-processing in Emlid Studio.
