Aura Cloud projects view

This page describes the Projects view of Aura Cloud. It covers the sidebar and main areas used to navigate projects, folders, and point clouds, and the modals and menus used to create and manage them.

Projects sidebar

Purpose

The projects sidebar provides navigation between projects and notifications, and access to account-level controls. It is visible on the left of the projects context.

Collapse sidebar

Button

Collapses the projects sidebar to give more room to the main area.

Located in the top-right of the sidebar.

All projects

Navigation item

Returns to the All projects view.

Notifications

Navigation item

Opens the notifications panel. A blue dot indicates unread notifications.

Projects

Section label

Heading for the list of projects below.

Project row

Navigation item

Selects a project and opens the project view. Each row shows a project initial, the project name, and a More actions menu.

Create project

Button

Opens the Create new project modal.

Storage

Indicator

Shows the percentage of storage used and the amount remaining for the company.

Storage is shared across all projects in the company.

Upgrade

Button

Opens the upgrade flow for accounts on a Free license.

Visible only on Free accounts.

Account row

Button

Shows the user's initials, name, and company name. Opens the account menu.

All projects view

Purpose

The All projects view is the main landing area after sign-in. It lists all projects in the company account.

Opens the More actions menu for the project.

Project view

Purpose

The project view opens when a project is selected. It lists the folders and point clouds inside the project, and provides controls for uploading, organising, and filtering content.

Folders do not open into a separate sub-view. With Group by Folder turned on, a folder row expands inline to show the point clouds it contains.

Shows the path from All projects to the current project. Select All projects to return to the project list.

The name of the project.

Project metadata

Text

Shows when the project was created and who created it.

Upload

Button

Opens the upload flow for adding a point cloud to the project.

Always uploads to the project root, regardless of which folder is expanded.

Field

Filters items in the project by name.

Opens a panel with filters for Status, Content type, Created by, Date created, and Size.

Group by Folder

Toggle

When on, folder rows can expand to show the point clouds inside them. When off, folders and point clouds are shown as a flat list.

On by default.

Create folder

Button

Opens the Create new folder modal.

Display

Button

Opens a panel for sorting items by Item, Date created, Size, Status, or Created by.

Item column

Column header

Lists folders and point clouds. Select the column header to change sort direction.

Date created column

Column header

The date the item was created.

Size column

Column header

The size of the item.

Public access column

Column header

Shows whether public access is on or off for each point cloud.

Status column

Column header

Processing status for point clouds, for example Processed.

Folders do not show a status.

Column header

The user who created the item.
