      Installing Aura 1.10 and 2.0 on the Same Computer

      In some cases, you may need to access both Aura 1.10 (hardware dongle based licensing) and Aura 2.0 (Concurrent User Licensing) on the same computer. This article explains how to install and run both versions side by side.

      This setup has been confirmed to work in testing but is not an officially supported configuration. Use this approach as a fallback only if you need temporary access to both versions.

      Steps

      Step 1: Rename the existing Aura folder

      1. Before installing Aura 2.0, locate your existing Aura installation folder.
        Default path: C:\Program Files\Aura\

      2. Rename the folder to identify the version, for example:
        C:\Program Files\Aura1102\

      Step 2: Install Aura 2.0

      1. Download and install Aura 2.0.

      2. Aura 2.0 must remain the most recently installed version for login to work.

      Step 3: Launch the desired version

      1. To open Aura 2.0, use the normal shortcut or navigate to the default install location:
        C:\Program Files\Aura\Aura\Binaries\Win64\Aura.exe

      2. To open Aura 1.10, browse to the renamed folder and launch the executable from:
        C:\Program Files\Aura1102\Aura\Binaries\Win64\Aura.exe
