This article explains how to import a PPK trajectory file and process scan data in Aura. Use this procedure to produce a georeferenced point cloud from a scan captured using the PPK Georeferencing workflow.
What you will need
Scan data from Hovermap or GX1 (see Capture a scan with PPK georeferencing)
A .pos trajectory file generated in Emlid Studio (see Process RINEX files in Emlid Studio)
Aura 2.2 or later downloaded and installed (available from manage.emesent.com)
Procedure
Step 1: Open Aura and select the workflow
Open Aura.
Select SLAM / RTK / PPK from the workflow options.
Select the scan folder. This is the scan data offloaded in the capture step.
Step 2: Configure processing settings
Open Processing Settings.
Set Georeferencing mode to the appropriate PPK mode for the mount type.
Enter the Base CRS.
Select the Target CRS to reproject the output data to the coordinate reference system required for the project.
Select Save to confirm processing settings.
Step 3: Add the PPK trajectory and start processing
Select Add PPK Trajectory. This option appears after saving processing settings.
Browse to the .pos trajectory file generated in Emlid Studio and select it.
Select Start to begin processing. Aura applies the PPK trajectory to georeference the scan.
When processing is complete, review the accuracy report to check the quality of the georeferencing result.
Outcome
After completing these steps, Aura produces a fully georeferenced point cloud ready for use in project deliverables.
