Hovermap Feature Upgrade

This article explains how to update the Hovermap feature file using a USB flash drive and the Hovermap Web UI.

What you will need

  • Hovermap ST-X

  • USB flash drive containing the feature file update package

  • Commander

Step 1: Attach the USB flash drive

  1. Attach the USB flash drive to Hovermap.

  2. Wait for the status LEDs to return to a slow, pulsing Emesent blue.

Step 2: Open the Web UI

  1. In Commander, select the hamburger button (☰) in the top-left corner to open the Options menu.

  2. Select Payload UI. The Web UI opens.

Step 3: Run the update wizard

  1. Select Upgrade Firmware. The Hovermap Upgrade dialog box appears.

  2. Select Next. Hovermap confirms that no BSP is found.

  3. Select Next. Hovermap confirms that no upgrade image is found.

  4. Select Next. Hovermap confirms that a features update package has been found.

  5. Select Next. The system spends 2 to 3 minutes checking the integrity of the Hovermap feature image.

Step 4: Install the feature file

  1. When the Ready to start upgrade page appears, remove the USB flash drive.

  2. Select Install.

Outcome

Hovermap restarts automatically and the status LEDs return to a slow, pulsing Emesent blue. This process takes 20 to 30 minutes.
