# Commander & Cortex Release

## Commander 2.3

### Overview

Commander 2.3 adds GX1 support, PPK georeferencing, and first-person and third-person viewport views.

Aura 2.2+ is required to process scans captured with PPK.

### Major changes

#### GX1 support

Commander 2.3 introduces support for GX1, Emesent's next-generation handheld LiDAR scanner.

#### PPK georeferencing support

PPK georeferencing is now available in the pre-mission workflow for Hovermap and GX1. [Upgrade to Aura 2.2+](https://manage.emesent.com) to process scans captured with PPK.

#### First-person and third-person viewport views

Two new viewport perspectives lock the 3D point cloud view to Hovermap's live position and orientation during an active scan. These views give operators real-time spatial awareness and are suited to vehicle-mounted operations in constrained environments such as underground mining with LHD.

### Minor changes

**Portrait mode improvements.** Consistent display across portrait and landscape on phones and tablets.

**Measurements cleared on new scan start.** Measurements clear automatically when a new scan starts or is loaded.
